Workshop: Shaping the Big Picture: Interactively Mapping Our Digital Activities and Relationships
- Duane Degler, Design for Context, USA
“Digital" activities in museums and cultural heritage mean many different things. This immersive, interactive workshop involves people from a wide range of roles. We will collaboratively identify digital activities across museum practice to create a wide-ranging inventory. We will look at how these areas relate and build on each other, drawing an ecosystem map and discussing the implications and opportunities it presents, how it changes our perspective on our work, and fosters ethical and sustainable digital practices. As a participant, you will take away a broader perspective and a language to help you organize collaborations and understand the important, systemic role that digital plays in your museum and for your visitors.
