Scholarships to MW Conferences

Museums and the Web recognizes that many individuals who make significant contributions to digital practice would be unable to attend MW without some financial assistance. New and innovative accomplishments in technology for culture and heritage come from all kinds of organizations throughout the world. Competitive scholarships covering full conference registration and a full day of workshops will be awarded to selected applicants. In special cases, some support will also be offered for travel and lodging costs. (Museums and the Web does not provide transportation between the airport and the conference hotel. Lodging does not include the food and room service.)

To be eligible, you must have made a significant contribution to the development of a cultural or heritage website or digital initiative and must demonstrate that you would not be able to attend the meeting without support. You must prove you are a current employee of a cultural institution (including educational institutions, libraries, archives, etc.). As a scholarship awardee, you will be asked to give a small presentation on your work during the conference. Recommendations/references must be sent along with the application.

Scholarships are sponsored by companies active in the Museums and the Web community.  The online application will be posted here.  The deadline for submission is December 1, 2018. Applications will be reviewed and awardees notified by December 15, 2018.
