Examining the momentum of escape rooms, immersive theater, and other forms of experience-based entertainment, museums have an amazing opportunity to learn and borrow from the techniques and approaches of the latest trends. We will also explore how other emerging technologies over the past 200-years have continually affected and transformed the business of attracting and including new audiences. By embracing these new forms, museums can not only remain relevant in the 21st Century, but utilize multi-sensory novelty, wonder, creativity and play to facilitate deep engagement and enhanced learning.
